Position: Business Analyst

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £45,000 per annum

Location: Home based

Key Purpose:

Works with key stakeholders across the Group to re-design and implement business processes; mapping requirements into Epics and User Stories for delivery purposes. Working as part of an Agile delivery teams to ensure efficient delivery of effective, high quality features.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating workshops to understand As Is business processes, encouraging changes to ways of working which adopt technology and presenting new processes back to stakeholders
  • Developing process maps using standard notations such as BPMN
  • Providing the bridge between Product Managers and delivery teams, explaining the art of the possible and equally, the limitations of systems
  • Works with delivery teams to develop Epics and User Stories, together with development estimates
  • Developing elements of systems design, including wireframes, process maps, business rules, data migration rules and other detailed deliverables
  • Developing training literature and materials to embed new processes and features
  • Assisting with acceptance integration and testing and developing project plans
  • Reporting to business leaders and stakeholders
  • Gathering intelligence from corporate executives and middle mangers about needs and future growth
  • Working with customers to articulate and test B2B integrations
  • Modifying low code development platform configurations in order to support changes to ways of working
  • Working with developers and test teams on a continuous basis in order to ensure that developments meet the requirements of User Stories

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organise meetings
  • Facilitation of workshops with multiple stakeholders, able to negotiate and find solutions to conflicting requirements
  • Strong background in Agile techniques (SCRUM, TDD, DSDM etc)
  • Business Process Automation and Workflow Management requirements articulation
  • Knowledge of structured Process Design using notation such as BPMN or similar
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to negotiate with multiple businesses and stakeholders to find solutions for technical challenges
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and an open-minded mentality for new ideas
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent software development skills such as testing and design
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent data analysis skills

Experience

  • At least two years of experience in business analysis, Process automation and software development in an Agile environment
  • Proven experience in business and technical requirements analysis, modelling, verification and methodology development
  • Experience of working with SaaS based, low code platforms such as MS Dynamics, Power Platform, Salesforce or iBPMS.

Qualifications

  • Desirable - Degree in business administration, finance, information systems or related field
  • Desirable - APMG Change Manager
  • Desirable - Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Desirable - Industry recognised Agile certification
