The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. NDPH is home to the Clinical Trial Service Unit (CTSU), a major international research institute and is also a key partner is the new Oxford University Big Data Institute.
This role will be within the Oxford Data Analyst team that helps support the UK Biobank study. The main responsibilities involve processing, managing and curating health-related data from a wide variety of sources into the UK Biobank resource. This includes using, adjusting and developing complex data pipelines, and validating and documenting the results.
To be considered for the Data Analyst role, you will need to have an MSc in a scientific or numerate subject, or to have equivalent experience, and to be proficient in writing code in a data manipulation language (i.e. R, SAS, Stata, Python). If your experience is not in R, you will need to demonstrate you can apply your knowledge to writing equivalent R code. You will also have working knowledge of SQL and experience using and processing large or complex datasets.
The position is full time (part time considered) and fixed term for three years. The closing date for applications is noon on Monday, 13 February 2023.
