About our Charity, Goleudy

Goleudy is a charity that prevents homelessness by providing housing, creating opportunities, and tackling poverty and social exclusion. Our job is to improve the lives of people who are threatened with, or experience homelessness, a housing crisis, or mental health (MH) issues and trauma.

We have been operating for 47 years and cover 4 local authority areas.

About the Director of Human Resources

The Executive Director (HR Services) is a member of the senior executive leadership team that comprises the CEO and three other Executive Directors. The team drive the business forward, implementing its strategy, managing its risks, and overseeing all aspects of running the organisation.

Duties of the Director of Human Resources

The Executive Director (HR Services) is a highly visible leader in the organisation, overseeing the charity’s Staffing and HR Portfolio including:

  • Maintaining knowledge of current and emerging UK employment law and best practice
  • Staff recruitment, selection, and retention
  • Talent management throughout the Charity
  • Employee communications and engagement
  • Employee health and wellbeing
  • Equality, diversity, and inclusion
  • You will need to be able to travel to our projects for work, which currently ranges from Pembrokeshire to NPT, but could well expand.

  • Leadership: strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Strategic thinking: the ability to think strategically and align the HR function with the business plan.
  • Decision-making: advanced decision-making skills.
  • Communication: excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with and influence employees, senior leaders, and stakeholders across the charity.
  • Change management: expertise in leading organisational change and transformation initiatives.
  • Problem-solving: strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyse complex HR issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Stakeholder management: the ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including employees, unions, and government agencies.
  • Cultural awareness and diversity sensitivity: the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Coaching and mentoring: the ability to coach and mentor staff and support their professional development.

As this is a senior role within our organisation, shortlisting will be in two stages. The initial stage only requires you to apply with a CV via the recruitment website.
