We are delighted to be advertising this new and exciting post within Cornwall Foundation Trust. We are looking for an exceptional individual who will provide expert, inspirational and professional leadership to our nursing and allied health professionals.

This transformational leader will work directly to the Dual Chief Nursing Officer whose role is across the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust (local acute Trust) and Cornwall Foundation Trust.

As a pivotal member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Nursing will take a lead role in adult community services, children’s’ community, child & adolescent mental health services, adult and older adult mental health services.

The will use exemplary communication and relationship building skills in partnership working with system and regional partners and “place” integrated teams to ensure that services are implemented in line with the core offer specifications and within the investment and efficiency parameters agreed.

We are seeking a registered nurse with a track record of leading the development of the nursing professions within their organisation, supporting workforce design and development and creating a strong multi-disciplinary workplace.

The role will require close working with our associate directors, matrons and heads of integrated professions to ensure that professional standards are met and maintained and that the delivery of care is recovery focussed, patient centred and to the highest quality.

As a senior leader you will attend the Executive Team and the Board and act as a strong role model for all colleagues by demonstrating credibility and visibility, strong commitment to improving practice, celebrating success, and encouraging creativity, innovation, and excellence.
