Job Role: Director Strategic Accounts

Location: Queens Square, Bristol (BS1 4NH)

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 (Commission: Y1 £70,000, Y2 £90,000, Y3 £110,000)

About the Role


GDS Group is seeking an experienced Director of Strategic Accounts with a focus on building strong relationships with existing client base.


You will execute and develop the strategic business plan, focusing on expansion while also strengthening sales operations. You will also be instrumental in creating future strategic plans with the goal of boosting revenue streams across all sectors and use cases.


You will:


  • Partner with existing accounts to identify and execute on strategic growth plans
  • Build exceptional business relationships with existing key client stakeholders to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Be an advocate of using the latest technology to improve and enhance audience engagement
  • Close collaboration with the Head of Customer Success across GDS Group client portfolio; ensuring all accounts have a high health score, and identify growth opportunities
  • Setup and monitor metrics and measures and regularly report progress
  • Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth
  • Monitor the marketplace and analyse opportunities to provide competitive analysis, strategies and tactics
  • Stay well-connected with customers to ensure broad market needs are being incorporated into the product development road map
  • Work with GDS Group Leadership to ensure commercial model remains competitive
  • Collaborate with Partnerships teams, Finance, Product, Development and Marketing on process, messaging, pricing strategies and business models to achieve revenue goals
  • Participate in and lead contract negotiations and completion of commercial agreements.

About you:


  • 3+ years Senior Partnership management roles, driving and implementing sales strategy and revenue growth with both existing and new clients and divisions.
  • Ambitious and forward thinking, able to work as part of cross functional team and as an individual contributor.
  • Demonstrable experience within a range of industries e.g. financial services, SaaS management consulting, retail, manufacturing, FMCG, technology
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through strategic sales, marketing, branding, and partnerships.
  • Significant large, multi-year deal experience.
  • Ability to craft and execute a world class sales strategy
