It is made up nine academic departments, providing teaching and research in a wide range of subject areas to over 4,000 students each year from across the world. The Faculty Education & Student Experience (FESE) team, based in the Faculty Office, provides a wide range of administrative support to facilitate the delivery of teaching and research activity. The team comprises 8 FTE and works collaboratively, learning from and covering for each other as necessary.
This post is located in the Education and Student Experience team, which supports the delivery of teaching and research across The Bartlett, UCL’s Faculty of the Built Environment. The main purpose of this role is to report to the Faculty Education Manager, the post holder will provide dedicated administrative assistance to the work of the Education & Student Experience team. This will include serving as secretary to several faculty-level committees, processing changes to student circumstances, such as interruptions of study or programme changes, and responding to and assisting with requests for information and/or data issued by senior Faculty colleagues or members of central professional services teams.
The postholder will have proven experience of providing effective team support in a complex organisation, and an excellent standard or written and spoken English, with experience of servicing and taking notes of meetings, and the ability to transcribe notes accurately and clearly. With a positive and helpful approach to work, the postholder will have good interpersonal skills which enable them to communicate with others tactfully and assertively, and to develop effective, professional working relationships across UCL and externally.
