Our client is a highly successful residential platform. The wider group has £2.5bn of assets under management which equates to 4,800 units across Build-to-Rent, aparthotels, and serviced apartments and are one of the fastest growing independent PRS/build-to-Rent operators in the UK, running small and large scale BTR assets on behalf of institutional, private equity and local authority clients and as part of their development as a business they split out from the wider business late in 2022. The client is led by an impressive team of property, finance, technology, and hospitality experts who work effectively across all disciplines including design, brand, digital marketing, community building, placemaking and financial management, in effect providing operator solutions for large-scale, mixed-use assets with the aim of creating proper communities.
They are now seeking a Finance Director for this business as part of fulfilling their strategic plan. They want to recruit a commercially focused Finance Director who has worked in one of student accommodation, PRS/Build-to-Rent, residential development, affordable housing, or commercial development and has run small teams as well as taking a strong interest in and being involved in commercial finance activity. The new appointee will be required to deliver on all financial management matters including management accounting, investor reporting, loan finance, budgeting & forecasting and business partnering. The Finance Director for will report to the Group CFO and will also work closely with the Group CEO.
This is an excellent opportunity for a high calibre finance professional who will take charge of a small team and will need to balance the hands-on nature of the role with the commercial requirements. An agile mind and an ability to handle the fast-growing nature of the wider group as well as the ever-changing demands of the business will be vital.
You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and be working in the real estate sector. This represents a wonderful opportunity coming at a great time in the client’s growth cycle.
