How we’re seeing the role
Reporting into the FD, this role is vital in supporting the whole finance function of the business whilst we grow and develop.
Day-to-day, you will work closely with the FD to own all things “Finance” and provide the source of truth to the business in areas such as cashflow, forecasting, credit control etc.
What needs doing
Managing all day-to-day finance activities, including AP and AR, leading on the tech stack in these areas (we use Nook and Cledara)
Day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero, including managing all the direct integrated feeds and bank reconciliations
Manage all employee expenses within the business, leading on the tech stack in this area (Spendesk, Pleo) and checking that they are in line with the expenses policy
Continual improvement of core processes and controls and helping to automate these wherever possible
Working with Sales and Commercial teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and being the initial ‘go-to’ person internally for any finance queries
Be the initial port of call for customer queries regarding billing/AR
Supporting the FD with Commission calculations
Using SaaS optics (integrated revenue tool) to generate and send out all sales invoices and maintain a ‘source of truth’ for ARR and revenue recognition, including calculations for organic growth (manual at the moment but we plan to automate this in the near future!)
Leading on the core month end close procedures including the preparation of all reconciliations and intercompany invoicing
Liaise with external accountants to support the FD in the information required for the preparation of statutory accounts, tax returns and audit

Really proactive approach and willingness to own processes
A quick learner who has a strong attention to detail and is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in
Great at prioritising and re-prioritising as business needs change
Strong numeracy and Excel skills
Several years previous experience in a Finance function and (ideally) of working with Xero
The bits that it would be great if you have
High growth technology experience (preferably SaaS platform)
Background of working in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment
