The International Card Services (ICS) Finance team provides strategic Finance support in over 25 international markets where American Express issues credit and charge cards. This high performing team works closely with multiple business stakeholders to provide analytical and value-added recommendations that have a tangible impact on business decisions, long term strategy and overall growth performance.

We are looking for financial professionals that can excel across P&L Management, Investment Optimization, and market level decision support. Candidates will have high visibility and regular exposure to Senior Leadership and, as such, the ideal candidate must possess not only exceptional analytical acumen, but also excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor complex messages to the appropriate audience in a very collaborative manner.

This role will support the ICS (Issuing Card Services) business in France . The role is based in London.

How will you make an impact in this role?

• Work closely with business partners and the market Lead Financial Officer team to execute business and finance planning initiatives successfully and efficiently, such as the annual plan, P&L month end/rolling forecast, Long Range Plan, Investment planning and Sales target-setting
• Collaborate with Marketing and Finance on day-to-day investment management ranging from evaluating new campaigns, de-funding poor performing campaigns, investment budget optimization and allocation, results tracking and forecasting
• Continue to transform financial processes through report automation, creating new and utilizing existing dashboards to understand trends and deliver insights
• Conduct insightful, data-informed analytics. This will include analyses to ascertain drivers of performance, identify opportunities for growth, review resource optimization and stress test strategic decisions

Minimum Qualifications

• Solid understanding of P&Ls, discounted equity cash flow valuation and card economics
• Ability to create and maintain financial and economic models
• Excellent strategic thought-leadership skills and creativity, as well as strong financial and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of SQL / SAS / Cornerstone data mining tools will be a plus.
• Highly motivated individual with desire to work on ambiguous projects and ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages
• Strong communication skills and ability to develop solid working relationships with finance colleagues and senior business customers from diverse cultures; ability to influence without direct authority
• Resilient, proactive, and able to work under pressure
