Location: UK flexible location/ home working
Contract type: 18-month fixed term
Hours per week: 35
Salary: c£35,000 (plus £3344 Inner London Weighting if applicable)

We have an exciting and rarely advertised opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our team. You don’t need to be a qualified accountant for this one – just strong analytical skills!

In this role you’ll be supporting the Finance Lead, using your analytical skills to contribute to the delivery of all aspects of financial analysis, within our transformational change portfolio. We are getting “Fit for the Future” as we implement our ambitious strategy 2030, you’ll play a key role in this as you support the development and implementation of new financial infrastructures.

This role is essential to our operations as a charity and therefor vital to helping those in crisis.

What will you be doing?

In this role you’ll provide support to the Finance Lead and programme teams to develop project and programme budgets and track costs. You’ll also support the identification and tracking of financial benefits while delivering regular and ad hoc reporting to the Programme Director/team on the financial position of the programmes and projects.

You’ll be required to provide and present financial analysis and insight concisely that facilitates effective decision making. You’ll need to support the project and programme teams to understand the financial implications of their projects and analyse potential return on investment. You’ll be required to understand how the organisation operates and utilise income and cost information to develop financial models and analysis.

To be successful in this role, we hope that:

  • You are analytical. You are decisive and can solve problems

  • You have the ability to interpret, summarise and present complex financial data as organised and concise information to facilitate understanding and decision making

  • You are highly computer literate and with experience of computerised financial systems and advanced user of Microsoft Excel

  • You have demonstrable experience analysing large volumes of data
