We have an exciting opportunity for a Fund Operations Analyst to join our Investment Solutions team.
The Role
As the Fund Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for:
Supporting the relationship with key stakeholders, internal and external and at all levels, regarding all aspects of Fund Group interaction
Aligned to Investment Proposition, Support Senior Fund Analyst in reviewing complex issues to completion and communicate clearly to key stakeholders
Supporting the Senior Fund Analysts in the management and control of risk and SOX process ensuring all data is available in a timely manner
Acting as SME specialising in problem solving and delivery to meet the needs of distribution and the wider business
Supporting regular qualitative MI reporting to meet the requirements of management for information and for forward planning
Escalation of any Fund Operations issues
Key Tasks (Including but not limited to):
Ensure the successful operational control & delivery of investment data across relevant distribution platforms, specifically;
Multi location support for Fund Operations inputs to RFPs and general Investment Proposition support. Support communications into and out of Fund Operations to ensure fund launches, changes, suspensions and closures across the insured, TargetPlan and AIL ranges including client specific blended funds, are control and managed effectively
Ensuring client expectations are met and updates instructed to ensure our Investment Data Repository is accurate and up to date
Ensure instructions to the business for fund change is executed accurately, timely and efficiently through robust controls and processes
Support all Fund Operations processes, focusing on continual improvement.
Highlight to management, via the management forum where conflicts arise over priorities or resource capacity across the business.
Governance
Ensure integrity of decision-making processes is maintained (e.g., through the correct governance channels)
Act as SME on company projects, owning, reviewing and approving data and performance information and providing specialist input as applicable
Support relationship with Distribution and Investment Proposition to ensure delivery of best outcome for Aegon and the customer
Highlight to management, via the decision forums where conflicts arise over priorities or resource capacity across the business.
Ensure that Aegon executes all fund operations change processes while maintaining strong systems and controls by embedding best practice across all delivery activity, including compliance with all SOx requirements and conducting regular QA and QC checks
Develop and maintain Insured fund MI to support decision making across the business
Internal Stakeholder Support:
Support for Client Relationship Managers and Sales responding to new change requests and changes to client specific funds
Work with sales teams across the different channels to understand adviser and customer needs in relation to the instrument universes and drive progress through the tracker
Work with sales and proposition teams to help them understand the processes and complexities across the platform to ensure smooth delivery of requirements

Investment markets, funds, managers, and AEGON’s involvement therein
Regulatory framework in UK financial services and application to customer conduct and product governance and understanding in respect of investments, e.g., TCF, FCA, MiFID II, SOX etc
Investment landscape, e.g., asset allocation, investment process, fund managers, funds, solutions
Knowledge of the UK platform markets and key drivers of industry change
Advanced Excel Skills
Experience of working in a fast-paced fund implementation/transition role within Investment, Platform or Life & Pensions
Knowledge of FE Analytics desirable
