The Operational Security and Protective Division at Bradburys Group is currently recruiting experienced Day Shift Gatehouse Security Officers in Loughborough, Leicestershire, United Kingdom.

Core hours for this position are:

• 12-hour shifts – 06.00-18.00
• Four on/Four off rotating shift pattern
• Full-time permanent position
• Regular overtime available

Uniform provided which must be worn at all times

Essential key skills and role requirements:
Following an induction, on-boarding and training schedule, you will be required to:

• Demonstrate complete competence in providing a safe and secure environment for colleagues, client employee's and visitors
• Provide a strong and reassuring, professional security presence to deter the threat of potential hostile actors
• Demonstrate competence with the company's security patrol system and equipment
• Conduct external site patrols and adhere to a rigorous patrol schedule
• Demonstrate high customer-facing skills whilst remaining approachable and polite at all times
• Maintain daily security events/activity logs
• Submit reports and updates to management upon request
• Enhance the client's brand identity and reputation
• Ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Health and Safety within the specific work environment
• Ability to liaise professionally with the Police, client and management where required

Applicants must possess the following:

• A valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence in Front-line Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection
• A five-year checkable work history
• Proof of Right to work in the UK
• An excellent command of English communication skills (written, oral, email)
• Immaculate appearance and high standards of personal hygiene
• Proficient radio communications skills
• Self discipline
• Ability to work alone within a lone working environment
• Ability to take instructions in a professional, keen and responsive manner from seniors and line managers
• Ability to adapt at all times
• Excellent attention to detail and a natural investigative mindset
• Confidence in your ability to manage difficult situations that arise in a safe and professional manner
• Excellent time-keeping/time management
• Immaculate appearance and high standards of personal hygiene
• Full UK Driving licence

Desirable but not essential:

• SIA licence Public Space Surveillance (CCTV)
• Fire Marshal Qualification
• Emergency First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid
