We are looking to appoint a general manager in the Women’s and Children Health Division for a period of 8 months to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all operational issues and accountable, alongside the clinical director and head of nursing, for the delivery of high standards of patient care in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls and resource constraints.

This is a fixed term post and the successful candidate will initially be responsible for managing paediatric services.

The role of the general manager is to work with and assist the multi-disciplinary teams to perform at their very best and will provide proven operational, financial and performance management with developed leadership and influencing skills. There is a Service Delivery Coordinator directly reporting to this post, to assist with the delivery of key performance indicators.

All candidates should be able to demonstrate a commitment to improving the patient experience and have the ability to communicate ideas clearly to both professionals and service users. You will need to be flexible, have proven management skills and a track record of operating at senior management level
