The EMEA Credit Markets franchise is a leading market maker in European credit derivatives and corporate bonds. J.P. Morgan provides financial assets and liquidity for banks, insurance companies, finance companies, mutual funds and hedge funds. Traders, salespeople and research analysts work collectively to generate ideas and make secondary markets in high grade/high yield bonds/CDS, distressed bonds, trade claims, indices, exotics, and illiquid credits.

Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Analyst or Associate to join a Trading position on the High Yield Credit Trading desk based in Paris.

Key responsibilities

• Market making in High Yield Credit across bonds and CDS
• Managing risks on a micro level from par product down to stressed capital structures within leveraged finance
• Interacting with the global sales forces and client base to continue to build out the J.P. Morgan High Yield franchise
• Interacting with publishing and desk research analysts

Requirements

• Substantial prior experience in fundamental analysis of credit;
• Previous experience from either a buy side or sell side seat in Credit;
• Knowledge of credit and leveraged finance;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong analytical ability
