At BSBI, we have exciting internship opportunities starting March 2023 in the Core BSBI Consulting’s IT group which deliver direct value to the client. It’s a unique 6-12 Month paid placements will give you the opportunity to apply your knowledge and insights to the working world. Your main tasks will include eliciting requirements, documenting processes, reviewing existing ways of working and designing new and improved processes, reviewing technology capability, and supporting process changes to enable the best use of the technology.

Responsibilities:

- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

- Performing requirements analysis / documenting user stories and use cases

- Effectively documenting and communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

- Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.

- To succeed in this role, you will have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.

- An understanding of, or experience of using, business analysis skills (requirements elicitation and process documentation)

- Able to challenge the status quo

- A strong communicator able to influence ‘up and down’ the project structure - A quick learner able to bring innovative ways of working

- The ability to figure out what to do ‘when you don’t know what to do’

- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Jira, and Confluence

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Master's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field from UK university or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 months of experience in a Business Analyst role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding with business process modelling and requirements gathering
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand business functionality and translate it into application requirements.
  • Ability to partner with delivery teams to identify course of resolutions.
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity and project inter-dependencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - someone who can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £13,866.09-£18,559.44 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Amersham, Buckinghamshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
