The Role

Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, you will be part of a software engineering team whose main roles are to support and evolve existing tools, as well as to create new solutions that will help the team to achieve our ultimate goal: to win the Formula 1 world championship.

This team of developers and testers are delivering software in a wide variety of domains, from the manufacture of the car to the performance analysis on track.

The key responsibilities of this position are:

  • Write software services, libraries, and applications according to the best practices in the industry.
  • Document and maintain software functionality.
• Execute software development life cycle (SDLC). • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems.
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards.
  • Work as part of a team on various projects using the collaboration tools provided.




The Person

You will demonstrate technical competence as well as a collaborative, creative and proactive approach to work. The right attitude and drive to succeed is vital to our success. You will be organised, methodical and demonstrate the ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity. You will be expected to deliver high-quality results, under pressure and within tight timescales.

Candidates will be expected to be on-track for a degree in computer science or related discipline with computer science knowledge. Knowledge of object-orientated programming principles and relational databases is highly desirable.

Knowledge in one or more of these technologies would be advantageous:

  • .NET Core (ASP.NET Core)
  • Scripting languages: Python, MATLAB
  • Databases
  • Web services or REST APIs
