Job Description :

Battles is an award-winning manufacturer and leading provider of all of the major animal health, equestrian and pet care brands worldwide.

We are currently looking for a Graphic Designer to join our marketing team..

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for working with the marketing team to roll out various media which could be graphic design projects as well as motion content and editing, for all our in-house brands specialising in equestrian clothing wear and our award-winning equestrian and pet care product.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and editing various new content to promote our large range of products via (motion) graphics, short clips, video, etc.
  • Support the in-house Photographer with editing imagery and video.
  • Working with the marketing team to roll out designs/content which involves graphic design and motion design.
  • Helping with developing products through making new product specifications, checking and updating these when required.
  • You will take part in regular equestrian shoots with the team to create various content and plan/develop shoots individually where required.
  • Delivering impactful designs/content that elevates the brand or support a product campaign.
  • Should be comfortable with creating own concepts and content, as well as interpreting creative direction/briefings from team members and working as a team.
  • The right use of the Adobe suite and other programmes for editing purposes.
  • Keep up to date with trends, design, social media, best practices, developments and competitors.
  • Maintain communication, accuracy and attention to detail throughout
  • Maintain a database for all designs/content.

Skills and Experience:

  • A strong portfolio on various designs (graphic and motion)
  • Video/Image editing skills would be an advantage.
  • Strong graphic design skills would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge working with the Adobe Suite including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
  • An interest into the market which is changing fast-paced, to keep up to date with the latest trends and developments.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage but not required.
  • Multi-tasker that can respond to changes quickly and prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Able to work within multiple brand guidelines to ensure consistent brand look and feel across all media.
  • Relevant qualification to degree level would be an advantage.
  • Self-directed, self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently with minimal oversight.

The successful candidate doesn’t need to have any experience in a similar role. We are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated, confident, imaginative, enthusiastic and have a flexible approach to work. Battles employs over 100 employees and therefore this role requires a good degree of organisation and a proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure to deadlines.
