We are looking to hire a Head of Security for a small private events venue in Croydon.

Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing the security arrangements of the venue, supervising security staff, and resolving any incidents on site.

You will be in charge of a small security team, typically ranging from 2-4 persons depending on the event.

About the Shifts
Shifts are available every Friday and Saturday evening, with occasional shifts in the week and on Sunday. All shifts are on an ad hoc basis and times vary, with shifts typically ranging from 5 to 7 hours per night. While you will not be obligated to attend every shift, you will be expected to attend as many as possible.

This is not a public bar or club, and everyone attending will typically need to be checked against a guestlist.

The Requirements
We would like to hire someone who has:

• Has good leadership skills, with previous experience of managing a small team.
• Previous experience in security management and hospitality.
• Good working knowledge of the security industry.
• An SIA Door Supervisor (or higher) license.
• An IOSH in managing safely, or an equivalent level of experience and knowledge of health and safety.

Your uniform will be provided, and you will be fully insured for all work activities carried out.

The pay starts from £18 p/h on a self-employed basis or £16 p/h + holiday pay for PAYE, with additional pay available based on ability and time served.
