The Role:


Head of Product is a crucial role that spans all aspects of the business, identifying and coordinating the needs of the market, business, and Technology to develop a Product strategy that creates a competitive edge for the business.


This is a strategic role with responsibility for a digital product and line management responsibility of Product Owners who will be embedded in to the Tech teams. OKRs will be aligned to the objectives of the business with a spotlight on commercial outcomes.


You will develop a deep understanding of our products and through close working with product colleagues and business stakeholders will define and deliver a roadmap that delivers against ambitious business goals. With many stakeholders you will need to take a longer view with a clear and concise approach to building a product that meet the needs of our Customers, Airports and B2B partners.


  • Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap to deliver a world-leading secure and scalable digital product proposition.
  • Establish P&L, forecasts and reporting to secure further funding and expansion of the Product team.
  • Develop a deep understanding of capabilities and the needs of the Product teams and our customers to define and deliver long-term roadmap and incomes.
  • Define and evolve commercial models to deliver a profitable and sustainable business
  • Drive primary internal stakeholders to deliver challenging business targets
  • Develop product launch plans ensuring the timely & successful deliverable of your products
  • Establish agile ways of working and implement Hypothesises Driven Development approach
  • Prioritise features based on potential business and customer value
  • Define the opportunity and associated product requirements articulating this with passion to your development team and stakeholders
  • Maintain a strong sense of focus on who the customer is and what they want / need, both current and prospective. Initiate research and user testing against your concepts and products to ensure they meet the customer needs.
  • Own the validation & success criteria of all features within the backlog, to ensure what is being developed is right for the customer and the business
  • Understand the commercial and business criteria that will determine success for the product team
  • Ensure tracking and primary metrics are in place. Define and challenge what these metrics should be and present these with recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Work with marketing stakeholders to develop an effective marketing strategy. Clearly define your product to help ensure marketing effectiveness.
  • Monitor customer feedback and performance to ensure products are meeting customer needs and expectations.
  • Run pilot and beta programs to test hypotheses and reduce risk ensuring the right investment decisions and overall product success.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management including to senior management level
  • Ability to understand the big picture to bring together a coherent viewpoint based on perspectives of stakeholders from different business areas
  • Knowledgeable and promoting of great process, but focused on people
  • An understanding of the challenges of developing an MVP
  • Understanding of web development and back end technology and to work effectively and co-operatively with development teams
  • Ability to manage to a budget, ensuring that key value is delivered within cost / timescales agreed
  • Ideas generation and workshop leadership and facilitation to manage successful innovation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Capability to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to spot warning signs of potential problems and to problem solve to ensure successful delivery
  • A good eye for detail, but focused on the quick rather than the perfect

Desirable skills and experience

  • Recent experience in delivering platform services
  • Booking and/or platform development and leadership
  • B2C & B2B digital experience
