An exciting opportunity has arisen for the Head of Research Operations in the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Research Consortium (WHRC). The consortium is a collaborative between Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust & Wye Valley NHS Trust. This post provides management and leadership to research activities within each of the organisations.

The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Leads / R&D Directors of each organisation to ensure appropriate support is available in achieving their objectives.

Overseeing the teams in each organisation, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring research is promoted, managed and delivered in accordance with the Trusts requirements, legal frameworks and government standards. The post holder will significantly contribute to the implementation of the research strategy, developing and promoting R&D activity within the consortium.

The post holder will manage research income relative to pay and non-pay budgets to ensure research can be supported for future years.

The post holder will predominantly be based in the research department at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and with some home working but will need to be travel to the other sites, such as Wye Valley, as required.
