HGV Driver - Class 1 (Tramping)

Due to continued growth here at the Farrall’s Group, we are delighted to be recruiting for a Class 1 Driver (Tramping), providing excellent delivery service to all our customers within the UK. Based at our Cwmbran Depot.

At Farrall's we offer a competitive basic rate and enhanced overtime, as per below:

• Hourly rate for 50 hours of £12.62 per hour
• Overtime after 50 hours per week @ £15.97
• Overtime after 60 hours per week @ £19.31
• Overtime on Saturdays @ £21.63ph*
• Overtime on Sundays @ £25.24ph
• £26 per night out

* A minimum of 3 hours must be worked on a Saturday. For example, if your drive into depot takes 2 hours, you will be expected to work a further 1 hour to take the total hours worked on a Saturday to 3, though will still be paid for 5 hours. This work will be instructed by the traffic desk and could include moving trailers, loading trailers, washing trailer/units, tidying of the depot, etc.

Class 1 licence and full CPC essential.

Key responsibilities include:

• Making sure that the vehicle is loaded correctly and securely.
• Undertake daily inspections of vehicles and trailers and complete either a Nil Defect Report or a defect Report, as necessary.
• Ensure that the vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition in line with company requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence to tacho regulations and the safe use of the national road network in line with the road transport laws and regulations.
• To correctly use mobile device to complete collections & deliveries.
• Always ensure strict adherence to both on-site and off-site Health and Safety Regulations, reporting any breaches to site management immediately.
