The Division undertakes world-leading research and teaching in mind, behaviour and language. PALS’s HR & EDI Team delivers a comprehensive HR and staffing service, supports Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) projects and ensures effective professional service for the Deafness Cognition and Language Centre. The team is led by the HR & EDI Team Manager and comprises up to 8 Professional Services staff.

About the role

We are seeking to appoint an HR Administrator who will deliver a broad and effective HR service within the Division. The role requires interaction with many people within and external to UCL, thus a professional attitude, flexible approach, willingness to help, ability to remain tactful, as well as cultural and disability awareness are required to adequately execute the duties outlined in the attached job description. The HR Administrator will assists the Senior HR Officers in all day-to-day functions and take responsibility for delegated tasks. It is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and professional team in one of UCL’s largest and most successful academic units. About you

The successful candidate will have experience of working with HR systems for recruitment and payroll and advising people on basic HR policies. The post-holder will be diligent, proactive, able to effectively prioritise workload and to exercise discretion and preserve confidentiality. Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, including an excellent attention to detail are essential.
