Role Overview:
The HR Advisor will provide assistance to HR business partners and HR processes covering the full employee life cycle. Particular focus is given to Attracting and Retaining Talent, Building Capability, Employee Engagement and Change Management, and Performance and Reward, to meet the needs of managers and employees within the legal and regulatory framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to employees, supervisors and managers on simple HR queries
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure that best HR practices are, and continue to be, followed
- Proactively support work/system reviews and projects as and when required
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to help develop cross-divisional methods, tools, promote best practice sharing, teamwork and continues to learn from HR Business Partners to assist development
- Update company HR policies and explain changes to HR Team and wider business units to enforce understanding so that they can be implemented smoothly
Skills and Experience:
- HR generalist background having worked as either an HR Administrator/HR Assistant up to an advisory level
- Up-to-date professional and legal knowledge
- Experience in interpreting, advising and implementing contractual agreements and HR procedures
- HR systems knowledge and able to work with internal specialist teams such as payroll and L&D to deliver a complete service
- Ability to research, analyse and provide logical reasoning to resolve HR-related issues
- Proven track record of providing guidance to deliver improvements at local levels
- Communication, influencing and relationship management skills to engage client groups at all stakeholder levels
- Ability to use HR systems to access, input and compile data
- CIPD qualified, or part qualified (with a commitment to complete)
- Minimum C grade in GCSE Maths and English.
