Location: West Norfolk and Cambridgeshire schools

Part time: 28 hours per week

Salary: £35,000 FTE (£28,000 pro rata)

Our academies receive support on people related matters via our HR Advisory support. This role is an opportunity to join this HR Hub Team and play a key role in supporting our people strategy. Through collaboration with colleagues, it is an opportunity to ensure that this vision is achieved via our staff who all play a critical role in achieving our strategic aims.

The hub HR Advisor role is a generalist role, supporting a portfolio of schools on HR Matters. The HR Advisor will work closely alongside the Headteachers and Senior Leadership Teams in their assigned schools; delivering to them an excellent HR service and ensuring that HR projects are delivered in a timely manner.

The HR Advisor will act as a first point of contact for schools and Headteachers and will provide support and guidance on a range of HR matters to senior leaders within DEMAT schools. The ability to forge strong working relationships and have both excellent time management and prioritisation skills are essential to be able to provide proactive advice and guidance on a range of HR matters.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have generalist HR experience in all key areas – resource planning, recruitment, training, performance management, systems management, employee relations & communications, policy and procedures.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of employment law and experience of interpreting and applying this law, combined with an understanding of HR good practice.
  • Be able to develop good working relationships.
  • Be resilient and be able to prioritise and able to set clear priorities in managing their workload.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills – able to communicate well at all levels.
