Job Title: HR and Operations Administrator

Location: Remote working, though commutable to Milton Cambridge for any onsite meetings

Hours: 25 Hours Per week, flexible hours and days to suit the candidate

Salary: £23,000 – £26,000 Pro rata depending on experience

Start Date: As soon as possible

Fixed Term: 6 Months from start date with possible extension

Summary of Role

Our HR and Operations Lead requires support to organise and pull together all the HR and Operational changes that have happened in the last 18 months. They have streamlined all our existing systems, brought in a new HR and Health and Safety System, introduced more efficient processes and data collection systems, as well as developed a vast amount of internal documentation. Though with so many projects in different states of flux, the HR and Ops lead is seeking some help to get these projects finished before they can move on to the next ones. This role will require someone who is capable of taking on a project halfway through and with guidance, completing the project.

Being able to hit the ground running with a love of organising data, writing documentation and processes and working in online systems is a must! This is a fixed-term role, though this may be reviewed at the end of the six-month period.

Who is Red Balloon Educational Trust Central Services?

Red Balloon Educational Trust Central Services provides the underpinning strategic support and organisational development for the network of Red Balloon Centres. Our job is to ensure staff in the Centres can focus on what they do best – teaching, therapy and mentoring. We offer academic, wellbeing and community support to transform the lives of students (aged 9-18 years) who want to learn but have had low rates of attendance at school due to high anxiety, severe bullying, trauma or chronic stress. Our programme comprises online and face-to-face support to build confidence and reconnect students with learning and their education. Students are typically referred to us by their school, mental health services or local authority.

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Complete the set-up of and transfer of documentation from legacy HR system into the new HR system;
  • Ensure data is transferred and all alerts are set for future follow-up;
  • Set up new expenses systems within HR Systems;
  • Collate manager and employee training and guidance for HR System;
  • Finalise and document processes and systems, including visual diagrams and flow charts;
  • Document end-to-end employee journey processes;
  • Complete the set-up of Health and Safety System;

To be considered for this role as a minimum you will need:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in data and system migrations
  • Experience in setting up systems and processes
  • Experience in writing internal documentation and processes
