As a Barclays HR Business Manager, you will act as a strategic enabler and trusted advisor to the global Head of HR for Group Functions across their client group, using analytics and insight to shape and deliver the people plan. Business manager will play a wider role as an active member of the BX HR Business Management team, collaborating globally across core stakeholders to support the delivery of cyclical services and drive standardized, best in class, core products into BX, with robust controls and governance.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. What will you be doing?
• Shaping, driving and operationalizing key cross Functions projects, cyclical activity and governance in partnership with D&A, core TCs, HR Business Partners
  • Driving organizational performance through employment of strategic analytics/ tools and insights to shape business strategy and workforce planning
  • Supporting the delivery of the talent and succession strategy for Functions including key governance
  • Leading the planning, coordination and execution of business onsite/offsite materials for Functions
  • Leading virtual delivery of programmes of work and collaborating with multiple stakeholders by building successful relationships at a senior level
  • Providing data driven people insights for decision making by identifying business
  • Directing and shaping global projects and initiatives that are both HRBP transaction cycle and delivery and advisory service aligned
  • Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies

What we’re looking for:
• Experience and knowledge of most aspects of HR, including ER, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Reward
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering robust, commercial HR solutions across a large complex environment/business
  • Substantial HR or workforce data analytics experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal

• Commercial drive and acumen - demonstrable knowledge of the market and trends affecting Functions and financial services industry

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
