Salary: £28,440 pro rata per annum
Contract: fixed term until 31 March 2024
Hours: 21 per week over 3 days

Interview dates: 15 and 16 February 2023
Location: Hybrid - home working with occasional visits to the office at Monks Cross, York (you must live a commutable distance from our office for this role)

The role

We are looking for a HR Officer to join our passionate and friendly team on a temporary basis until 31 March 2024. You will work closely with the HR Team to provide high quality and timely HR support to the Family Fund Group. Duties include providing confidential advice and assistance to both employees and managers on a variety of HR related issues, developing and maintaining our employment policies in line with best practice and producing HR correspondence and documentation as required. Above all, you will help to promote a culture of inclusivity and ensure that equal opportunities underpin all HR activities.

About you

To be successful in this role you must have experience of working in a HR generalist role, providing support and advice to managers. You must have a practical knowledge of employment law and employer best practice. Ideally you will be CIPD qualified.

You will need to have good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You need to be able to work independently within a small team working remotely and must have excellent organisation skills and a methodical approach to administration and record keeping.
