The Opportunity
We’re a busy team of 2 seeking a 3rd person to join us for what will be an exciting year ahead! We’re a generalist team supporting the business across the full remit of HR – focusing in particular on recruitment, attraction and retention, learning & development, reward and recognition, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion & Accessibility.
The role will suit a self-motivated HR professional who thrives in a fast paced, non-bureaucratic and non-hierarchical environment. Scope of role
Recruitment Support - it’s the full generalist remit working across all elements of HR but with particular input and attention on recruitment support and ensuring our recruitment and retention practises at site are attracting the best quality and quantity of applicants.
The recruitment support entails, business partnering with managers to truly understand their individual requirements and assisting them to devise the best strategy for their site - supporting them with the process and ensuring they can be as effective as possible. Recruitment is decentralised and managed locally with HR support, that is, you will not be involved in the day-to-day conducting and admin of interviews.
Some of the areas of recruitment you will be responsible for are –
Business partnering – between you and the Senior People Exec, you will support around 90 managers and will be on-hand daily to offer advice and guidance with regards people management and well-being.
This includes, but is not limited to –
You will also get involved in projects supporting both the Senior People Exec and Head of People across EDI and training, reward and recognition. You will support the Senior People Exec as required with Learning and Development.
As this is lean team you will assist with general admin as required.
Skills, experience and attitude
Solid HR experience, Experience advising managers on employee relations queries
Highly motivated, self-starter with energy and a positive outlook
Great communication skills – both written and spoken
Ability to effectively multi-task and manage a varied workload
Understanding of recruitment – desirable but not essential
CIPD or equivalent qualification - desirable but not essential
