Job Description :

Purpose of the Role:

To work within the infrastructure team focused on the technical implementation and execution of system patching. This is a technical engineering role that will work within the patching team.

This role will require out of hours work and at least 3 weekend days per month for patching. Out of hours work will be managed by adjusting working hours.

Key Role Accountabilities:

  • Implement the companies’ patching procedures.
  • Work with the Senior Engineer to deliver patching.
  • Implementation and execution of patching within the various IT estates
  • Deliver patching into subsidiaries of the company including global regions.
  • Implementation of patch testing and remediations
  • Implementation of automation tools to reduce the out of hours work.
  • Provide technical excellence with IT systems to ensure successful patching.
  • Manage third parties and their patching process to ensure total coverage.
  • Assist with other IT Infrastructure projects and issues if needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

Excellent practical knowledge of the following:

  • Windows Server and Workstations
  • Azure Virtual Machines
  • Azure AppDev and server less technologies
  • Azure Platform as a Service technologies
  • Networking devices and Firewalls
  • ManageEngine Vulnerability Plus or similar patching tools
  • Change management / ITIL
  • IT Risks and Controls

Experience working with the following technologies:

  • Azure
  • Automation tools
  • Azure Virtual Desktop / Citrix
  • Routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Office 365 – Intune and Device management
  • Windows Server

Person Specification:

  • IT Degree Qualification or 3+ years’ experience
  • Independent time and work management
  • Must have excellent inter team communication skills
  • Driven to continuously learn about changes within technologies and improve personal skills
