Description of business unit

The Data, Digital and Strategic Reporting (DDAS) team's vision is to enable the delivery of a digitally optimised and data-led, multi-niche bank putting the customers at the heart of everything we do. We provide a key set of data, digital and analytics delivery services, embedded in customer insight, across BOI UK.

Purpose of the role

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic colleague, seeking a new challenge, to join a dynamic team and area of the Bank, supporting the wider team in implementation of its strategy! Reporting to the UK Operational Reporting Manager, this Reporting Analyst role affords a high level of exposure to a wide variety of customers. The role holder will take a lead role in supporting business performance through deployment of regular MI reporting and improving current processes to deliver operational efficiencies

Key accountabilities

  • Timely production and delivery of MI reporting as agreed with team members
  • Design and development of dashboards, reports and analysis packs including automated and efficient processes in line with the Group's simplification strategy
  • Engagement and collaboration with key partners to review and refine the reporting suite and respond to evolving business needs
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvement;
  • Production of accurate and informative analysis in response to ad-hoc reporting and data analysis requests.
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with the Regulatory requirements.

There are opportunities to develop coding and skills and to introduce new management reporting views that will deliver beneficial value to our partners. We contribute to the Bank strategic agenda by standardising and automating reporting activities.

This job can be done anywhere in the UK. Travel will be required for in person collaboration. Exact frequency to be agreed with manager.

Essential skills and experience

  • Excellent written skills and ability to verbally communicate.
  • Experience working with datasets from multiple sources.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear and concise reports and visualisations.
  • Ability to handle ambitious priorities and deliver within demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Excellent digital literacy: Word/Excel/PowerPoint and experience of, or capability to learn, SAS, SQL, Tableau.
