Junior Data Science Analyst

Hoist Finance is looking for a Junior Data Science Analyst to join us in our UK team, this role would be perfect for a recent graduate looking to kick-start their career in a well established business.

Our offices are based in the heart of Media City, Salford – within a minute walk to a tram stop and access to free parking. This role is a permanent hybrid opportunity, working 3 days per week at the office and 2 days from home.

The role

» Creation of statistical models, (predictive and descriptive) using internal and external data to support customer contact activity and collections strategy decision.

» Using a variety of Machine Learning Techniques, the Analyst will be required to understand the problem, deliver a solution and present this back to key stakeholders.

» Development of modelling infrastructure.

» Identify value adding opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement.

Desired skills and experience

» Experienced in the use of Business Intelligence, Analytical and Statistical packages (e.g. SQL, SAS, R-Studio, Python, Azure ML)

» Proficient in developing models using a variation of techniques.

» You will already hold a relevant qualification/degree in a Mathematics/Statistical related subject to be considered for this position.
