London, England
Job ID : 6646715132534e4f515948586b56354b49413d3d
The Face will capture the energy bursting forth from culture worldwide.
The Face isn’t about news feed culture, or covering a topic just because everyone else is doing it. It’s about championing new talent, committing to provocative journalism and pushing iconic visual design: all through the lens of style. It’s about endless discovery – whether that’s a new angle on a well- documented topic, or something that’s been previously untapped.
It’s a space for interactive, dynamic, multi-faceted stories that join the dots between high culture and pop culture, fashion and sport, art and technology, entertainment and society. It’s an inclusive, global, cross-genre, cross-generational platform.
The Role:
This is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to work with our commercial creative team to conceive, develop and deliver a broad range of high-quality ideas and graphic design across a number of projects and visual outcomes.
You will be working directly with a very talented and diversely skilled team of creatives, writers and editors, to continue the expansion of The Face Magazine; this is an amazing chance to work with, and learn from, the best — no matter what your aesthetic.
We’re a small company and a tight team — we work collaboratively, we let you know what’s going on and want you involved in what we are creating — The Face is a team of individual talents, working together to create something different, something that reflects those that are making it.
What we’re looking for:
You will be working across all projects which includes making visual decks, feeding in with original design ideas, creative mock ups and working on social formats and graphics for The Face website.
Have a good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite — Illustrator & Photoshop, with Indesign, AfterEffects, and Cinema 4D, a bonus, though not essential.
Strong knowledge and skills within typography and layout and can push design output creatively.
Must be confident in referencing and image hunting and help conceptualise fun expressive visuals.
You’re someone who knows and likes what The Face is doing, but also sees where you could contribute to our creative identity.
Produce exceptional quality work, drawing from your own cultural interests, whether it’s music-based, or art galleries or movies — there are things that you want to bring in and celebrate.
A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to share their vision, and work closely with their team to realise the tasks given to them.
Ability to work independently and manage more than one project at a time, and to liaise with their team throughout and confident presenting ideas.
Ability to illustrate and/or visualise articles with original content when briefed by the editorial team
Has a keen interest in keeping on top of the latest developments in motion graphics and animation, and the ability to bring this into your work accordingly.
Hybrid working, to include 3 days in our HQ.
