Job Description :

The job on offer

Are you passionate about cybersecurity? Are you an excellent communicator with demonstrable experience of delivering security services within organisations? Would you relish putting these skills into practice by taking on a role within Capgemini to protect us and our clients from cyber threats?
As a Security Manager, you will be the focal point of contact for any security matters on client accounts. With diverse clients covering any industry sector you can imagine, a day in the life of a Capgemini Security Manager is never dull. The role requirements vary from client to client and so there is an element of flexibility required, from which you’ll be rewarded through exposure to new challenges and opportunities.
You will be joining a fantastic team of more than 300 security professionals that deliver world-class security services day in and day out.

Your role

No day is ever the same as a Junior Security Manager as every client is different. In a nutshell: you will be accountable for the end-to-end management of security issues and incidents, working with a Security Manager to address all security matters on client accounts.

The day to day stuff: You’ll be involved in the holistic management of security, managing incidents, risk management, contractual compliance and any other security services that might be used (such as our SOCs, Threat Intelligence or Vulnerability Management services), all delivered with a pragmatic approach to contractual requirements. As a junior member of the team, you will work alongside a more experienced security manager to help you develop your knowledge, skills and capabilities. This role presents a development opportunity – we are aiming for the successful candidate to develop and eventually move into a security management role.

Some of the work you will deliver will involve:
  • Providing security advice and guidance
  • Security incident management and response
  • Governance and contractual compliance for all security deliverables
  • Threat and vulnerability management
  • Security reporting

You will have the opportunity to interact with a truly global team of security experts, from Architects to Engineers, from Compliance Managers to Developers, but that outreach doesn’t just stop at security; we actively encourage our staff to engage with other areas of the business and local communities.

Your profile
We are looking for someone who is, first and foremost, passionate about all things cybersecurity. The successful candidate will be driven and organised, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. We hope to find someone who has a positive attitude and enjoys working collaboratively.
As this is a junior security management role, we are looking for people who can demonstrate prior security knowledge, or have some prior experience working in other security roles (or other technology roles with exposure to security elements).
We know unicorns don’t exist, so you don’t need to meet every single one of the following requirements, but if you believe you can meet these or at least have the potential to develop the skills…then believe in yourself and apply today. We are looking for someone who has…
  • Prior security knowledge, or experience working in a security role (or a technology role with exposure to security elements)
  • A genuine passion for all things cybersecurity and a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
  • A genuine interest in professional/personal development
  • Security clearance (note: this is not essential, but you must be willing to obtain it)

  • All UK employees are eligible to request flexible working arrangements, which can be either informal or formal. Your manager will discuss your request with you and review it to ensure any arrangements work for you, your clients, your team, and our business.
