The Role

Field based – You will need to attend regular (bi-weekly) meetings at our Head Office in Milton Keynes. We are open to where you live.

Our Commercial Utilities team has an opportunity for the role of Key Account Manager. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of building strong relationships with decision makers and influencers and creating value by contributing to the enhancement of current service offerings and the development of new ones. They will have the ability to proactively identify opportunities and drive these through to delivery and have excellent knowledge and understanding of the Energy Market and the associated regulatory frameworks and commercial risks. Job Purpose

  • Responsible for driving revenue, developing, and implementing effective strategic plans that help increase market share.
  • Delivery of the IMServ sales strategy to maximize sales and profitability objectives.
  • Responsible for the commercial management of a group of clients that are of strategic importance to the IMServ business.
  • To explore and develop market potential for the company with new services close to IMServ core offerings, new territories, and new markets.
  • Taking projects from an initial idea, product development, customer trials and ultimately through to securing a contract.
  • To build, develop and maintain long term business relationships

Key Responsibilities

  • Client strategy development and the production and monthly review of key account plans
  • Delivering profitable work through accurate campaigns and projects quoting to an agreed price book
  • Collaborating and sharing best practise with other team members
  • Maintaining and developing senior client contacts
  • Supporting new business development activity and pitches
  • Contributing to the management of the business as a part of the Commercial Team.
  • Ensuring quality and timeliness of work delivered to clients, including organising scheduled key account reviews with board sponsors and internal project reviews
  • Financial management and reporting of client portfolio
  • Client engagement and commercial negotiation
  • To renew the required number of contracts and achieve the targeted level of incremental revenue as agreed with the Chief Commercial Officer
  • Host corporate hospitality events and represent IMServ in public arenas such as conferences or exhibitions to promote the IMServ range of energy solutions
  • To develop co-operative client focused relationships with all internal departments

You - Essential

Demonstrable experience in successful relationship building, contracts and contract negotiations.

Adept at directing customers and managing employees at all levels of business.

Previous business development experience particularly demonstrable ability to close business.

High level commercial exposure (networking a C level)

You - Desirable

Market research or consultancy experience

Experience of IT in business solutions

Marketing / Market Research experience

Project Management Experience including analysis, design & execution

Excellent working knowledge of Utility industry.
