The KYC Operations Manager is an intermediate management-level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees to provide Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight and regulatory reporting services in coordination with the Compliance and Control team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the development and management of a dedicated internal KYC (Know Your Client) program at Citi.
Responsibilities:
Review policy and/ or change items submitted throughout the global hubs to assess the impact to ICG KYC Operations
Perform risk impact assess of procedures and processes; highlighting any potential risks and provide solutions to ensure effective implementation across all key areas of the process workflow
Perform project management responsibilities, including producing project plans, conducting risk analyses and providing weekly updates for senior management, as needed
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Liaise with internal/external stakeholders to provide exception management reporting and Management Information System (MIS) reporting
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a related role
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Candidate must demonstrate experience in managing a wider range of stakeholders across multiple business units
Candidate must demonstrate they can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
