Location: Leeds (please apply if able to work in this location, we aim to be in the offices 1-2 days a week under your own cost)
Salary and Benefits
£70,784 - £88,480 (depending on experience) base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

About the role
As a Lead Engineer, you'd be part of our Consumer Lending division, working the Homes platform.
You'll play a key role working collaboratively with other lab roles to create empowered Teams who are motivated to take on business problems and realise value to customers through excellence in execution

What you’ll do
As a leader and motivator, you'll nurture team members to create an impactful team culture
You'll lead, direct, and control the delivery of benefits for our customers & colleagues
You'll shape and lead major change initiatives which implement business strategies successfully
You'll influence positively - demonstrating the right values and behaviours and encouraging this in team members
Coach and lead other engineers and build a strong team culture through peer-to-peer teamwork and development
So, what are we looking for in you?
You've a well-developed communication kit bag with extensive customer management experience
A natural facilitator and decision-maker.
Strong engineering background with experience of Java, Oracle database, Weblogic and Websphere
Solid understanding of the entire software development lifecycle and experience in end to end delivery of software products
Significant experience with agile development methods & tooling e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence, and experience of leading & working as part of an agile team
Strong software development background essential, along with knowledge of modern software development toolsets including Cloud hosting, Web App development, API’s, DevOps Continuous Integration and Delivery
Experience in leading and coaching a team
