As a Barclays Lending Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of programme waves according to plan, budget and agreed quality and governance standards. In this role, you will also be accountable for the management of programme and wave interdependencies, risks and issues, escalating as appropriate to the Programme Director and other key stakeholders. We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?
• Reviewing and bridging gaps in terms of future-state architecture, delivery roadmap
  • Taking accountability on continuous improvements initiatives
  • Working with teams across Operations, Technology and RFT teams to ensure a seamless delivery
  • Helping identify, assess, and manage project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, and escalating as appropriate via the decided governance framework
  • Supporting senior management and other team members to create an effective team empowered and motivated to deliver programme objectives
  • Leading and championing key activities to enhance the wider team culture: such as process and tools continuous improvement, resource alignments and staff upskilling


What we’re looking for:
• Excellent leadership skills, preferably in a large programme setting
  • Ability to manage and deliver complex technology solutions in a timely manner and within budget
  • Effective engagement with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience managing direct reports as well as reports through a matrix structure

Skills that will help you in the role
• Experience delivering large-scale programmes in Lending business
  • Involvement in working in an agile project team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management qualifications preferred
