National Account Manager
Salary: £55-£60k depending on experience
Benefits: Company Car and Bonus (up to 10% of salary)
Location: Field Based Role (North Region) Ideally the applicant will live in the middle of the designated area.

We have an exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager to join us at Volvo Buses.
This is a field-based role with time spent in our Head Office site in Warwick.

This role is a key member of the UK sales team focusing on key account fleet customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising new vehicle sales and total solutions opportunities profitability within the North region.

You will be responsible for the accountant management within the region, negotiating with major corporate groups at senior and director level, ensuring successful project delivery. You will identify new customer accounts and develop existing business relationships to gain incremental business and to maximum commercial success with both new and used sales.

Additional Focus Areas:
  • Managing the tender and quotation process for customers within your region.
  • You will negotiate directly with customers on price, specification, delivery of new and used bus product and give advice relating to chassis products and vehicle bodywork.
  • You will work together with the Volvo Dealer Network to promote and market the Volvo range of products.
  • Weekly/monthly, you will provide reports on sales activity and performance against targets.
  • You will plan, organise, and actively prospect customer visits within designated area to maximise sales potential
  • Within an agreed budget, you will organise regional functions and customer events.


Who Are You…

Do you have the below required knowledge/skills?... If so we want to hear from you!

The successful candidate will have previous commercial/selling experience as well as experience in planning sales targets and forecasts. This will have ideally of been gained in the Bus or Coach Industry and have comprehensive knowledge of chassis and body types and specifications, including BEV technology.

You will be a confident communicator with proven competency at negotiating effectively at all levels and have well-developed relationship management skills. A self-motivated individual who can effectively manage a large region, with ability to work alone at times but within a greater team contributing towards our collective results.

Extensive travel including nights away from home is a regular feature of this role.
