About the role

We're looking for an Office Administration Assistant to join our team in our busy London office. ClientEarth is an international legal environmental charity with a unique approach – a team of lawyers and policy experts using the power of the law to protect people and planet.

We moved to our new custom-designed office close to Holloway Road and Highbury & Islington tube stations in June 2021. Our office currently comprises of approximately 130 staff, working across a number of our programmes, as well as colleagues from our Communications, Development (Fundraising), Executive Support, Finance, HR, IT and Operations teams.

In this role, you will be responsible for all reception and office administration duties, including processing post and parcels, maintaining stocks of office supplies, keeping the office presentable and managing our meeting rooms and events.

Main Duties

  • Be the first point of contact for visitors
  • Process post and parcels
  • Maintain stocks of office supplies
  • Keep the office looking presentable
  • Deliver office inductions and health & safety training
  • Manage our meeting rooms
  • Assist with organising large meetings and conferences at the office

Role requirements

  • Experience in responding to competing deadlines and managing multiple tasks and priorities within a working or voluntary environment
  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Previous experience in an office reception/front of house role (desirable)
  • Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
  • Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in environmental protection

Further Information

This position will be based in our London office. Our flexible working policy allows our people the choice to decide to work from home in the country where their contract of employment is issued for 80% of their month, with the other 20% of their month being office-based, However, this post requires high office visibility with approximately 80% of the time being office-based.

Our flexible working policy requires employees to work core hours (10 am to 4pm) with the rest of the hours worked around these. This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) however candidates wanting to work part-time (no less than 27.5 hours per week) are also welcome to apply.
