Job Description :

We are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to assume direct responsibility for portfolio of manned guarding and mobile security operations across East Anglia (Essex, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk) circa £2.5m in annual value.

You will be expected to provide clear and directed leadership across your portfolio and ensure that all client requirements are met in accordance with the agreed contract specification. Your time will be spent between field-based activities visiting staff and customers, and office based at our Head Office in Colchester, Essex.

Candidates must have the flexibility to accommodate unsociable hours working if required (for example, to visit staff who only work nights).

Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have a high level of self-motivation, together with an ability to manage own workload and diary in order to meet core commitments. Experience with commercial dimensions of account management would be an advantage.

Your key responsibilities would be:

- Staffing and rostering for a designated commercial security portfolio (Manned Guarding and Mobile Response).
- Full P&L responsibility, including participation in month end billing, payroll and commercial analysis.
- Promote Vertas Group’s ‘Customer First’ ethos by proactive engagement with customers through in person visits, Teams meetings and regular email communication.
- Compliance with all company KPI’s relating to training and Health & Safety.
- Engagement with colleagues and the building of relationships to assist in promoting a high standard of performance on our customer accounts.

Contracted Hours: 45 Per Week
Salary: The salary range for this position is £33,000-£35,000, plus use of a company vehicle and fuel card.

Candidates have a full UK driving licence (no more than 3 points) and must be prepared to undertake any training required by the Company (this would always be role specific). A valid SIA licence is also required for this role.

Please note: This role will include fully-expensed travel across our Operating area when required, particularly to our South Coast Office in Portsmouth. The role will also involve being part of the company’s on-call Duty Manager roster to deal with emergencies. Applicants must be able to commit to both of the above criteria.
