The role

We are looking to recruit for an Operations Strategy Manager to develop and deliver robust strategies and plans across the Network Rail High Speed (NRHS) business. This will include incident and event management, operational security, emergency planning, weather resilience and contingency planning.

You will manage the development, implementation and review of the Network Rail High Speed business continuity strategy, overseeing and defining work packages, tasks and objectives - to deliver a programme aligned to the strategy.

The person

So, who are we looking for? If you can answer ‘yes’ to the following questions, then we look forward to receiving your application.

• Do you have successful experience in operational management (in a safety critical industry)?
• Do you have significant knowledge of the rail industry (with a good understanding of relevant standards and procedures)?
• Are you a member of the Chartered Institute of Railway Operators (CIRO)?
• Do you have the proven ability to build cross functional / cross company relationships, influence decision making and a proven track record of customer relationship management?

Although it isn’t essential, it would be an extra plus if you had previous experience of incident management.

The important stuff

The role will be based at Ashford in Kent, however frequent travel to our other office and site locations along the High Speed line is/may be expected.

We follow a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range:

£53,202-£59,853.

Drugs and Alcohol Standard

Our Drugs and Alcohol Standard is changing as of 16.01.2023. All prospective candidates who have not been offered a conditional role by 16.01.2023 will be required to undergo and pass a drugs and alcohol test.
