A PwC People Operations Manager is part of our wider management team and you will lead an Executive Support team and team leaders, being responsible for their career development, people management, resourcing and leading them with embracing change whilst providing pastoral care and support.
You will work in collaboration with key stakeholders in the business, be seen as a trusted advisor and have strong productive relationships. You will work with them to understand and identify additional opportunities and future needs for our IWS team to continue to transform the services and support we provide to the business.
You will work closely with our Workplace Operations Managers (WOM) and One Team (our operational support team), supporting to ensure all office services are delivered in accordance with the agreed specifications and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and being a key point of local office contact where necessary.

You will work closely with key stakeholders in the business, building robust relationships to maximise the impact our team can have in helping them to work effectively, leveraging technology and demonstrating our IWS skills and service offerings. You will ensure you understand the changing needs of the business, enabling you to make informed decisions and promote our services.
Demonstrating a natural interest in our firmwide strategy, with a strong business acumen. You will seek opportunities for personal development supporting the wider Leadership and Management team with driving the I&WS strategy and delivering on projects.
Adopting a Global Mindset, you will embrace and drive firm wide initiatives, being an ambassador for the PwC brand and supporting Diversity and Inclusion.

In line with our national approach, you will lead on local team performance management including goal setting and career development conversations, supporting our people to be future ready with a digital mindset, through consistent, effective, quality coaching. You will productively use the data from our internal Management Information (MI) dashboards to identify future areas for focus and growth.

Working with our Resourcing Manager you will deliver a flexible resourcing model, able to adapt to the diverse and changing needs of the business. Using your team's MI data you will be able to provide insight into managing utilisation and highlighting opportunities to evolve the service we provide to the business.

You will be a role model to your team with a key focus on digital upskilling, embracing new ways of working with new and emerging technology, as well as being inquisitive and sharing with leadership any ideas to reimagine how we work.
Essential skills & experience
Strong influencing and flexible communication skills with the ability to build credible relationships with a broad range of stakeholders in sometimes challenging situations.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to flex your leadership style to the demands of the situation or person, to engage and motivate others.
To upskill, coach and lead individuals, team leaders and teams that are empowered, accountable and are future focused with change.
People Management with experience of coaching, developing and managing teams.
Strong interest and understanding of emerging technology, the ability to influence behavioural change in the adoption of new ways of working, as a role model yourself, but also leading your core team and influencing the wider business.
Business focused and strong customer service mindset combined with a creative and future focused approach to problem solving.
Proven ability to self motivate, work independently, manage time effectively as well as working professionally and collaboratively with a wide network of colleagues and leaders.
Adaptable team player able to flex and work across our broader IWS team as required.
Degree of flexibility required when supporting the Workplace team to provide out of hours support as required.
