Preventative Planning Engineer,

£35,000 - £38,000 per annum
ROCKWOOL UK are looking to add to their growing Maintenance team at the Pencoed factory in South Wales.
We are looking to add a Preventative Planning Engineer to our team with the key focus of looking at reducing downtime and continuing the development of our Preventative, Predictive maintenance schedules and planning.
This position is offering full-time, permanent employment and you will be working Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 8am to 3pm.
Job Purpose & Scope:
The Preventative Planning Engineer will routinely be responsible for driving preventative/predictive maintenance methodology, implementing process improvements, OEE, and advanced predictive methods. You will also be working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor in developing the scheduled maintenance programs for the production equipment and facility to minimise downtime and maintenance cost.
Key Responsibilities & Job Content:

Planning maintenance work orders, the repairs, servicing and efficient functioning of all machinery, equipment and facility in the plant.

Updating functional location structure in SAP PM.

Creating task lists and MAI plans for the factory equipment.

Coach others (engineers, maintenance technicians, and operators) in the performance of Root Cause Analysis.

Decreasing corrective maintenance cost by increasing the volume of the preventive jobs.

Identify skill improvement opportunities and new tools / techniques to improve operating and maintenance results.

Carry out routine Planned Maintenance

Develop and implement risk management strategies to include predictive and preventive maintenance systems (vibration analysis, lubrication oil analysis, motor circuit evaluation, corrosion monitoring, thermography, equipment laser alignment, etc.)

Analyse equipment, facility failures and provide solutions to eliminate or extend the time between failures.

Producing, updating and maintaining maintenance KPI’s.

Communicating with production for planned maintenance tasks as well as completed tasks.

HNC in a relevant engineering discipline

Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment

Previous planning and scheduling experience is essential

Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical components

Strong SAP experience and knowledge

Experienced in delivering Lean and Continuous Improvement activities

Knowledge of Reliability principles and methodologies
-
Capable of providing direction and guidance to the Maintenance team

Highly motivated with personal drive and ambition

Good communicator
