That’s why we’re looking for an experienced Principal Software Engineer to join Procore’s journey to revolutionize a historically underserved industry.

Procore is going global, and to achieve greater success, we’re establishing our first home-grown Product & Technology team outside the US. This is a high-impact opportunity and will be critical in helping ensure our future success in Europe. As a Principal Software Engineer on our International engineering team, you will help us build global platforms and solutions to expand Procore’s global footprint. Your primary mission will involve working across several teams and engaging multiple stakeholders in the EMEA region to develop, plan and drive strategic initiatives.

This customer-facing Technical Lead role is essential to uncovering our global customers’ needs and crafting an architecture and solution to meet those needs. More than 85% of Procore’s total addressable market is outside the US, and global growth is one of our top strategic priorities. In this role, you will serve at the vanguard in bringing Procore's strong collaborative culture of Ownership, Optimism, and Openness into a new region.

This position will be located in our London, UK office. We are looking for someone to join our team immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Uncover and understand customer needs and turn them into user stories and requirements. Partners with the Regional Product Manager or Marketer.

  • Identify opportunities across the broader organization for implementing and maturing solutions to complex systems.

  • Scopes effort, schedule, and skills required to meet the customer’s needs.

  • Crafts the best possible architecture and solution to meet the customer's requirements. Works with engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations as needed.

  • Answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities. Explore new ways of improving existing services and products.

  • Partner with internal customers, peers, and leadership in planning, prioritization, and roadmap development.

  • Coordinate product releases with Product Management.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in assessing and addressing technical risks

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; or comparable work experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in this role or as a software engineer.

  • Experience in collaborating with across multiple teams in a large organization

  • Experience in seeking and solving technical problems

  • Experience working with the construction industry is plus.

  • Worked with remote and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.

  • Great influencing skills and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
