What you'll be doing

  • Understanding the requirements for projects;
  • Agreeing the timescales, costs and resources needed to deliver a project;
  • Drawing up a detailed plan for how to achieve each stage of a project;
  • Leading a project team;
  • Resource management of a project – ensuring we have the right people at the right time;
  • Negotiating with contractors and suppliers for materials and services;
  • Directing a multi-disciplinary team and ensuring that each stage of the project is progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards;
  • Reporting regularly on progress to project stakeholders;
  • Resolving any issues/delays which may occur;
  • Reviewing project procedures;
  • Preparing the final report at the end of a project;
  • Giving clear timescales and objectives to the team;
  • Communicating with clients, contractors, colleagues and suppliers; and, managing several projects simultaneously with a team of project managers to support you in the delivery.

This role will be based in Stratford, London.


Who we're looking for

  • On track to gain a minimum of a 2:2 BSc (Hons) in Project Management, Business Management or Built Environment degree
  • A passion to develop your career within the Rail sector
  • Eligibility to work and live in the UK at the time of joining
  • Ideally hold a full UK driving licence at the time of joining
