Vodafone

Newbury, England

Job ID : 664671513253524254592f656d56394d4b773d3d

Job Description :

Location: Newbury (Blended)
Salary: Competitive + Vodafone Benefits
Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri)

Vodafone UK’s blended working approach means you’ll come to your contracted hub location office as and when needed to get things done for your role and for tasks that require it, otherwise you will be able to work from home. Our ‘Office in a Box’ home-working kit will be available for all who need it during your onboarding journey.

Vodafone UK Business are revolutionising how customers use technology and connectivity, ensuring they are ready for today and the digital innovation of tomorrow.

The Product Lifecycle Management (“PLM”) team was created in 2020 to proactively manage identified Vodafone products and services through appropriate “end of life” stages to full retirement. The driver for “end of life” might arise from changes to customer needs, changes to supplier offerings or could be Vodafone platform, technology, risk or commercial return driven. Alongside the “end of life” activities, the PLM team also provides Sales Channel engagement support and targeted customer messaging whether directly related to “end of life” products and services or in support of Product teams communicating significant product changes. We priortise our activities based on value to our customers and on value to Vodafone.

The initial focus for this role will be the Customer Premises Equipment (“CPE”) project – including the understanding then communicating to Channels and Sales teams the potential consequences of ongoing use of aging CPE to access Vodafone products and services with regards to general risks and the specific requirements within the Telecom Security Regulations; understanding and sharing account specific CPE inventories with Sales teams and encouraging / driving the creation of action plans for each significantly impacted account.

What will you be doing?

  • Project managing multiple priority PLM projects – the number of projects will depend on their complexity and size but it is likely that those projects will be at different stages ranging from discovery to solutioning to delivery.
  • Critically evaluate and validate the overall solution and key components of the solution. Drive successful delivery with direct and virtual teams. Manage blockers, escalations and engagement with key internal and external stakeholders. Own the overall plan for each project to achieve timely, efficient and effective delivery.
  • Ensure expected project benefits (typically revenue retention, cost reduction and/or minimising customer churn) are identified and refined through each project. Deliver accurate reporting of realised benefits.
  • Aligned with the PLM Scrum Master, support agile delivery throughout the department; drive continuous improvement to the PLM framework – including governance activities, refining the various PLM “journeys” and standard project artifacts.

Who are we looking for?

  • Project management qualification(s) and experience of delivering complex projects through virtual teams.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels within Vodafone.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex issues simply and with impact.
  • The ability to focus on the key deliverables and milestones, prioritising when appropriate.
  • Highly adaptable in a fast changing business environment with a passion for going above and beyond.
