Job Description :

We are looking for a well organised and data literate project manager to help co-ordinate data processes for the 2024 National Trust member’s handbook. The handbook is one of the key touchpoints with our members, so it is essential that we ensure the information contained within is accurate and up to date for the 500+ visitor properties featured. The 2023 handbook marked the first time in over 15 years that the data collection process was managed internally, and we are now looking to build on that success and ensure robust processes are in place for future years.

This is a 9-month fixed term contract or internal secondment role, and will be working closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) and GIS Product Teams to ensure the data collection process is well documented and runs smoothly. You’ll also be working closely with the Membership Retention team to fully understand their requirements and to ensure the delivered solution meets the brief.

What it's like to work here:The BI Team help provide Management Information and Insight throughout the organisation primarily using our key analytics tools: Tableau and Alteryx. We work closely with stakeholders throughout the organisation to help ensure they have the right tools to enable business critical data-led decision making.

While you will be a part of the BI Team this role is focused on co-ordinating data elements of the handbook project through development and delivery phases, so collaboration will be key to succeeding in this role.

This post is contractually based at our office in Swindon. There will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.

What you'll be doing:Working as a member of the BI Team with a focus on the 2024 Handbook you'll engage with key stakeholders for the 2024 Handbook to ensure data requirements are well documented and delivered in a timely manner.

You'll identify, define and capturing handbook data needs with a variety of stakeholders, ensuring project deadlines are agreed across teams and a plan is in place to meet them.

You'll providing guidance to our regional colleagues from whom we are collating the data and provide follow-up reporting to ensure we are collating the data as required.

  • Ability to gather and document clear requirements, understanding client needs and capable of guiding others towards agreed timelines
  • Written and verbal communication skills, you'll be communicating with a wide range of stakeholders across the Trust
