Job Description :

WB Employment (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for a QC Inspector to join our busy client in Marsh Barton, Exeter on temporary to permanent position.

The role of QC Inspector will be to ensure that products of the correct quality are packed off and suitably labelled/identified.

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 2PM to 10PM

Main Responsibilities:

  • Visually inspect plastic products to the required quality standards
  • Identify non-conforming product to a team leader
  • Weigh/Piece Count products into the correct boxes/bags
  • Seal boxes/bags, label and palletise
  • Work as part of a team and communicate any problems to your supervisors
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and submit justification/reasons to Management
  • To carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time by the Company
  • To cover machine operators for holidays/absences
  • To observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and by Government legislation

Skills required to perform the role:

  • Experience of a factory environment beneficial but not essential
  • All necessary training will be given, so a willingness to learn is important (you would need to do a weeks training on the day shift – 8.30AM to 5PM)
  • The role is quite physically demanding, so a reasonable level of fitness would be an advantage.
  • The ability to work in a methodical manner would also be an advantage.
