Basis: Permanent


Shift Pattern:
Day Shift - working 39 hours per week; flexible starting time between 7:00 and 8:00 Monday to Friday, with a flexible finish time between 16:00 and 17:00, Monday to Thursday, and on a Friday, working 7.00 until 12.00.

Opportunity Summary:

We have a vacancy within our Quality department and are currently recruiting for the role of Quality Engineer. We are looking for candidates who have relevant work experience, seeking an opportunity to join our team and develop their skills.


Role Accountabilities:

  • Support delivery of our quality, cost, delivery and OPEX targets.
  • Maintaining and reporting against key performance indicators to identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Support the delivery of NPI. (New Product Introduction).
  • NCR control, problem resolution & read across of actions
  • Identifying actual or potential problems and taking the necessary actions to contain, solve or escalate these problems within an appropriate timescale by engaging others.
  • Improve investigation, problem-solving and follow-up of Quality Assurance issues to prevent both potential & recurring problems.
  • Monitoring the resolution of identified problems (Internal & external) and ensuring that the new standards determined by this solution are maintained, and where necessary, built into the Walk the Floor routines.
  • Perform internal and walk the floor audits in line with the internal audit schedule to identify problems for resolution by the operational teams and / or relevant functional teams.
  • Be prepared for both internal & external audits at all times, through the maintenance & continuous improvement of Quality Assurance processes.
  • Provide support to all manufacturing and planning areas to achieve our 100% quality target and Zero-Defect culture.


Person Specification:

  • Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards
  • Previous experience of preparing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Attention to detail, good quality and accuracy
  • Adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Adherence to health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Effective communication skills


IT Skills:

  • Microsoft Office
  • Job-specific IT systems: Basic ERP usage


Desirable:

  • Previous NADCAP experience (NDT / HT / Weld / NCM)
  • SABRe / AS13100 Experience / Trained
  • DPRV Trained
  • Previous experience of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
  • PPAP & PFMEA experience
