Location: Stevenage

To provide support and guidance to operational areas in accordance with the approved contract and BUK scope of works implementing the application of the internal audit and inspection programmes, ensuring continual improvement is effectively applied.


Role Specific Activities


  • Supporting implementation of internal/external quality requirements to ensure company products/services meet customer expectations
  • Interpretation and implementation of project contractual requirements related to quality compliance
  • Development of contractual and project related quality documentation, including quality management plans and inspection and test plans
  • Liaison with operational engineering and procurement functions with regards to material and product specification ensuring the required quality standards are met
  • Attendance at BUK Project and Client Quality meetings
  • Reporting on quality performance and the continual compliance for project operations including agreed project quality KPI’s
  • Support the delivery of the project audit programme to ensure quality standards are being adhered to
  • To identify and report any deficiencies or urgent matters relating to quality compliance
  • Management, review and maintenance of the project NCR process including upkeep of project NCR registers
  • Supports investigations and remedial actions for quality failures
  • Ensure the required corrective action is identified and monitored for effective close out to address deficiencies, customer complaints and non-conformities
  • Establish processes for sampling, recording and reporting of quality data
  • Oversee and support FAT, SAT and other associated quality control processes
  • Participation and support of the Quality Site Visits and associated records
  • Monitoring compliance towards inspection and test plans to provide assurance of defined activities
  • Input and implementation of project quality strategy and continual improvement objectives
  • Aid the realisation and delivery of project quality KPI’s, targets and objectives
  • Advising on compliance with applicable legislation, standards and industry best practice
  • Support with identification and delivery of project quality related training as appropriate
  • Presentation and delivery of project quality related performance data, statistical data and reports
  • Maintains links with relevant external/professional bodies, identifying and implementing best practice and leading improvements to support business strateg


Qualifications & Experience


experience on highly regulated projects
3-5 years experience as a quality engineer

CQI membership (preferrable)

IRCA membership (preferrable)
